I didnt realize how smart they were until I got my second! We have had Lilly for a month now and in the beginning, we had her in a pen, with a crate inside. Each day, she ended up outside the pen along with my other yorkie who was free to roam around. When it was 3 days in a row that she was out (and after having accused my cleaning lady of letting her out) we realized she was CLIMBING out. Mind you, the pen is over 3ft tall and she is 6 INCHES tall on all 4s. Anyway, we figured out(from evidence we planted and tapes we had running!) that she was climbing UP the crate to the top, and jumping OVER the pen wall onto the STEP of our elliptical machine, then RIDING the step down to the ground. For that much work, we decided she earned the right to be out of her pen all day!
