I've done the same thing. I thought I'd go "a little" darker blonde...Dark brown was my results ..with red hughes in it. If you did'nt know me ..no big deal. I've been highlighted blonde forever. It takes a bit to get used to. It has lightened up a bit,from washing. If I can give anyone hair coloring advice...leave it to the professionals!!!! It's truly a science...or in my case a science experiment LOL
