no offense - but why have a dog only to live in a basement ?? I'm saying this as a general statement and curious - I don't want anyone taking my question wrong but all the pets I've had lived in MY space....
Your yorkie puppies could be crying from because they're lonely....maybe put the crate near you so they know you're right there ??? ...when you get a new puppy they're in a new enviornment ...and it's going to take some human contact to help them adjust
