Scam alert! A girl I work with was looking for a Yorkie. She saw an ad in the Lexington Herald for a puppy. It only had an email address. When she emailed, the lady said she had sold the puppy to an American missionary. She gave the girl I work with his email address. He said he is in South Africa and wants to sell the puppy because it is too hot for it. The girl said, "I think this is a scam, will you look at it?" When I did, it was certainly a scam! The language was not remotely that of an American. I was just like one of those letters telling you The King of Nimibia died and you are his long lost cousin. She called the newspaper and they said, they get those at least once a month. Pet scams need to be publicized more often. Has anyone else had a similar incident?
