I was just reading this thread last week ( I had to skip around I couldn't read them all they are to sad.) but we had a freak accident over the weekend and when it was over I thought about this all these posts. Me and hubby were cleaning out the shed and he handed me a rake. I put the rake part on the ground and was going to let the handle just fall to the ground. Well our little 3 pound Meaty was walking towards the rake as it was falling. It ended up hitting him in the head. He ran off crying, he wouldn't come to me, he kept pawing at his head. I felt horrible. Turns out he his ok, just a little bump on his head but I think if it had his neck or back it could have been tragic. I know it hurt him, it would have hurt me if it hit me in the head. I felt so guilty. Lessoned learned... always be aware of where the babies are. |
