Vent away, ask him if he thinks it is his nerves.. they can have funny reactions and some people itch a lot....
Tell him to stay inside when the mosquitos are out for a few days.. to prove you point.. me are generally pretty hard headed tho.. it is might take some coaxing to get him to listen to you..
