Okay this thread is very funny, my sister hates spiders, nothing scares her but she will not kill a spider in a kleenex or anything, she comes and gets me to get it if I am handy. Which if you see the two of us you would die laughing, my sister is built like Zena warrior princess no kidding
Her favourite things to kill a spider with when there is no one around is 1, the vacumn , no they do not crawl back out leave it running for a couple of min, and the suction will kill it. 2 , the coal shovel, or my dad or brothers' shoes, anything big and heavy.
By the way, we have been to England several times, and I swear the spiders, there will carry your luggage for you!
