More coughing is a sign puppy is getting worse. The heart gets larger and presses on puppy's lungs. Sometimes there is fluid in the lungs. It makes it very hard for puppy to breathe. Surgery even in the US would cost a great deal. Usually it is treated with medicine and I'm sorry to say...the prognosis isn't usually very good. Are there dog cardiologists there? That is really who needs to see this puppy for treatment.
