Hey Jessbell you and I have a lot in common. I have a chihuahua who is about 16 weeks old and just got a baby yorkie, 9 weeks old, yesterday. I am currently free feeding my yorkie, Attli- just because I have read with them being so little and prone to hypoglycemia they need to have food & water access at all times. I also read at her age she is too young to really be on a feeding schedule right now, not sure how true that is. All I would recommend as far as mixing them or introducing them is to WAIT until you have your new yorkie vet checked. I was heartbroken and not pleased when our vet check today revealed Attli has ear mites!! Which def would be passed to any other pup in contact. My vet said the concern is not what your current dog will give to the new puppy, but rather what the new puppy might be carrying & pass to your chihuahua. GOOD LUCK!!
