we frequently drive to florida from nj. in my experience, the "dog friendly" motels near i95 are nasty. if your dog is not "yappy" just wrap her in a blanket and sneak her in. i look for newer hotel chains. they have discount hotel books @ the truck stops. they have coupons for all along i95. i look for the key word "new " in the ad. i usually stay for under $65 and just sneak the little guy in. i don't like to risk getting fleas in a nasty motel.
