She can be skipping if it is in a stage 2...... if it can be put back in place. It probably went back on it's own. I would be concerned that it may be going out more often and maybe ask your vet about signs of it getting into a higher grade.
Shelby had a grade 3 & 4 in her back legs before her surgery. They both were out and the #4 was staying that way..... the #3 grade could be put back in, but wouldn't stay there very long. Since her surgery, she is so much better..... no more "bow-legged" walking and she doesn't tire as quickly as she used to. All that extra stress on her hips (because of the bow-leggedness) really tired her out.
You also may consider consulting with an orthopedic vet. It will cost you for the consultation, but I think that you would find it to be VERY informative and you also can develop an opinion on the specialist (make sure that you are comfortable and trust he/she) in the case that Layla may need surgery down the road.
There are some others that have been thru this surgery with their Yorkies, also. Maybe they can give you more info than this....... and also the internet is a great source of information..... use it to your benefit........ I know that it really helped us. But hopefully, for Layla, surgery is something that isn't necessary at this time.

Best Wishes for Layla!! ....... and to you Marci!
