Lucy was born with grade 4 LP. I got her anyway, not realizing just how expensive it would be. Also, I was worried about what would happen to her if I didn't take her. (I don't regret it, she is the sweetest little dog and the best little Therapy Dog and has brought a great deal of joy to my life.)
My vet knew right away that it was too severe for him to deal with. He has done that surgery before and since, but for Lucy he recommended a specialist. The specialist has better diagnostic tools than my regular vet. The surgery was done when she was 4 months old. |
