Georgie was diagnosed a couple years ago with having a luxating patella. The vet said as long as it doesn't bother him or get worse not to worry. However, about 3 weeks ago he started yelping and shaking. Shortly after that he was fine but when it happened again I took him to the vet. She actually said it the knee cap was out when she felt it and recommended surgery. She does several luxating patella surgeries a month and was very comforting. Just last Friday he had surgery and is doing AWESOME I stayed home with him for 3 days and during the day he stays with his grandma while we are at work. I was a nervous wreck about the surgery but he is so resilient and I am glad that we did it.
