My boyfriend mentioned the thing about the height (maybe he's sensitive at 6'5"?) - Rory is very tall for a yorkie. I guess all that really matters is she has a healthy coat that she is comfortable with, but it sounds like at 13 months and with her being taller, typically speaking her coat might be right on schedule.
I guess most yorkies that are show dogs are older than some others to make sure they have the full coat - this is really what got me thinking about all of this. I believe I saw a dog (not a yorkie) that wasn't even a year old in a dog show once.
