So I suppose for a yorkie that has quick hair growth, at 12 months, it wouldn't be ridiculous to think they would have a coat to the floor...
I've seen some who have a coat reach the floor this early, but I think that's the exception not the rule, another factor to consider is that some Yorkies are taller than others and floor length for them is several more inches. A slight wave to the hair will also make it look shorter, bone straight hair lies down flatter.
