We have hardwood floors throughout the house and if there are any items of clothing or one of his blankets on the floor, he will pee on it. Sometimes he pees near the pee pads and other times no where near it. We praise him like crazy whenever he uses the pee pads. Any suggestions? Thanks!
He's pooping on a pad, and you are complaining? Lol, you don't know how lucky you are. They won't be 100% until closer to 6 months, and even then there can be setbacks due to neutering or teething. Joey went on his blankets at first, and these should be sprayed with an enzyme cleaner that removes the protein in urine before regular washing. Otherwise they will smell the scent and go there again and again. Actually, it's a little easier with hardwood I think, and he took to the pee pads rather fast, but you need to keep other items off the floor, and blankets are better in small beds. It seems easier for them to discriminate between a small bed and a blanket laying on the floor. Your doing a great job, and so is he! Pooping on the pad seems to be the hardest to train.
