Some states require it be given at four months and not all vets will sign a waiver because they think it is fine. Just give it as late as possible. |
I agree. You must follow your state law.
Please be aware that even if your state does allow a vet's waiver, if your dog is exposed to rabies or bites someone he will still have to be quarantined.
It's important to weigh the risks. Lady can't get rabies anymore (she's thirteen) because of all her health issues. She nearly died from the last one. I don't take her for walks anymore so her risk of exposure is low. She is only allowed out on my patio and her walks are limited to the stroller now.
