There are pros and cons to both. A puppy cut is a lot easier, no tangling, easier to keep clean. But the long hair looks so beautiful (until they mess it up!!) I try to keep my girls' bodies short (especially in summer) and let the hair on their head grow longer and try to deal only with that part being longer.
