Tongue Most of you will prob think I am a bit nuts...

Ok people might think I am a weirdo or a crazy but I have an idea and I hope it will work.

Supposedly dogs raised outdoors are easier to housebreak than dogs raised inside. Well I certainly wont let my babies stay outside with their puppies, but thought of an alternative....

I plan to use sod in the puppy whelping pen. I will have a large crate lined with soft bedding and an ex pen attached around it when they start getting mobile. My husband is going to build a box lined with plastic and I am going to put sod inside. This will cover the whole inside of the pen.

The plan is that they will use this as their potty area instead of using wee wee pads. This way they know the scent of grass so when it comes to potty training outdoors, they should train faster and easier right? I have read about this somewhere in a book somewhere I dont remember the name of it but I thought it was a great idea.

What do you think? Am I totally off my rocker here and this a dumb idea?
