I carry suzi and do not put her down... the vet assistant comes in and does the basics, then Suzi is right back in my arms. The vet is the only one who touches her, then she is right back in our arms.
Even in the waiting room, i will not sit next to anybody with their pets. I have my son clean his hands if he touches anther pet too. i am more on the overly cautious too.
