I think a Halloween party would be SOOO much fun! He could wear his costume for some pictures and then you could get him like a Halloween Tshirt for the rest of it. Plus you would be able to find some great decorations. Do a couple of orange and black balloons on the mailbox.
We just had Jamie's 1st birthday and did a fiesta. All the bright colors... blue and yellow and orange. I made Peanut Butter Pupcakes with cream cheese as icing. You could probably color the icing orange for Halloween. For your human guests you could just make carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese icing (from the can). You could also find a recipe for dog cookies and use halloween cookie cutters. I have used melted down yogurt drops as icing. The bonus is you can make human cookies that look like just like his. (Maybe a different shape so no one gets confused.)
