It is very frustrating when you are having housebreaking issues but you will not get it under control if he has the run of the house~EVER! You need to confine him to a smaller area or keep him crated or in an xpen if you cannot watch him. Buy him a belly band and get a gate for the kitchen so that you can leave him out during dinner but still watch him. Yorkies are the hardest dogs to train, look at all the posts in this section practically everyone is regarding housetraining.


We had a lab and I swear to you she was housebroken in a weekend! We never crate trained her and it was a piece of cake even though it was the middle of January in Chicago! If she really needed to potty and she was home alone she would jump into the bathtub to go! Never even taught her that trick! These little ones take a huge amount of determination to train and it still takes just about forever! Good luck and don't give up!
