I've never heard of this and had no idea this was going on, it seems that a group of people are trying to bring back the original Yorkshire Terrier. I know there is a similar trend happening with Bulldogs, genuine dog lovers are trying to breed out the problems caused by selective breeding by selective breeding in reverse, I guess
They
are only using KC reg healthy dogs in their breeding programmes and are organizing their own shows too. What do you all think of this?
I should point out that the club itself is mainly for loving pet owners and I don't think they are encouraging irresponsible breeding they are just trying to educate and are hoping to create a foundation to recreate the Yorkie as it was originally intended, as a working type Terrier rather than a pampered lapdog.IMO anyway.
