Check the roof of his mouth and in his throat carefully. With one of my dogs, and a couple of my skin-babies, lol, they have had things stuck up on the roof of the mouth. My daughter Olivia, when she was around 8-9 months, had a clear piece of plastic wrapper on the roof of her mouth that you couldn't see and could hardly feel.
