I'm sorry that they are like that.
Good front desk staff is important (and I wouldn't like the whole flea medicine thing) but if you really like the vets, I'd try to just ignore the front desk. Can you complain to one of the vets?
There is at least one tech in Ellie's vet clinic that I would rather had nothing to do with Ellie and the front desk staff isn't great but her vet is the best. She is awesome and I won't give her up for a couple other people who aren't really too important to Ellie's care. So, just another way of looking at it.
