Sadly, not even remotely close to the truth. Look at how many people are breeding Yorkies these days because of their popularity....you would think that there would be a GREAT gene pool to choose from, but that is far from reality. So as a result, you have a bunch of dogs that don't even remotely resemble what a Yorkie should look like and post even here from people who want to know if their Yorkie is pure or why their Yorkie ended up being 16 pounds when they are only supposed to be 7 or take your pick of a dozen genetic illnesses that people are facing with their dogs.

No, unfortunately, "the more being bred" is not neccessarily a good thing.
