My bf will buy 2 liters of coke, sprite all the time and i would drink them all, i just always had to have a cup in my hand with a bunch of ice cause i LOVE chewing ice, which i also heard is signs of anemia. anyway he would complain that i would drink all the soda and i told him 'you know what, stop buying them! i cannot see soda in the fridge and not drink it' so now if he wants soda he only buys a can for himself and hides it from me lol but for the past week i have successfully stuck to water, the thing i find that helps is if i just keep refilling a water bottle and have it by me all the time. If i don't do that and im thirsty i will drink whatever has sugar in it. It def. has made a diff. tho, on myself and on my skin, i suffer from acne now and then. Hopefully with my new diet it will get better. I'm also trying to not overeat on those carbs, i eat a lot of whole grains, the biggest challenge for me is getting enough protein in but so far i've been doing okay with that. That's why i made this thread, so i can get more recipes lol but there's tons of info here, and now i have a list of things to buy thanks to you guys

Thanks for the info on soy, i did google it real quick and saw tons of links, so im going to do my research on it. I read a quick snip about how it can prevent fertility and that's now good.
I will never eat soy (or any soy products) again! When I tell you the kind of pain I use to have, AWFUL periods where I couldn't even stand up!! After my doctor said stay away from soy, I did and everything went back to normal. Then I added soy back to my diet and BOOM it hit me again, the terrible cramps, the spotting on and off all month long and then my period stopped all together again and that was it for me! I also use to LOVE soy milk! I really missed it for the longest time but I'm over it now.
