I would have the same concerns that you are having.
This isn't a vacation and if she has to watch over and entertain her son, that's less time and focus for the real reason she is there. Plus that puts more work on you, which if it were me, would upset me!

we will be funding it ourselves. Also there are only 35 spots... i am 1, she is 1 and now her son is 1.. taking away a spot from a student.
