gidgey is due to have her second litter, she is getting very large i really feel for her!! her skin is so itchy i gave her a bath with oatmeal shampoo..

and for some reason when ever she is pregnant she gets fleas..all summer no fleas..now she has fleas and i dont know what to do for her but bathe her and i cant do that but so much..i only saw two and tired to kill them

she has started waiting by my bed to be picked up and loved on at night so we put her on the bed and me and my husband pet and rub her and when you try to stop she nudges your hands until you do it again..after 20-30 minutes we put her back down because im afraid she will fall or jump down

i love all my dogs but have you ever had a special bond with just one of them? i just feel like she is extra special

i really want to keep one and i wanted to last year but didnt..im just concerned because if i keep one it for these 2 main reasons..1 because i have that special bond with gidget and i want to have another thats will be like her (may not happen i know) and 2 i want to expand my breeding program i only have gidget and i dont want to breed her but a few times and then stop but i like breeding and raising my litters and want to continue breeding but i have one male and dont want any in breeding so then i would need a stud and i really dont know anyone that has a available male here in town

im also wondering if im off on gidgets due date i wasnt acurate with her first litter like timing things like i didnt look for heat signs, mating signs, ties, etc..this time i noticed the heat on the 19th of july i noticed flagging and tieing on the 29th and i noticed big belly about 3-4 weeks ago =) i was counting her due date at the 30th but what if im off by a couple of days and what if she doesnt go 63 days..i think her last time was bred on the 29th delivered on the 29th..(but like i said im not sure on that one at all)

i made a nice whelping box..covered it in pink and black fabric, laid down some vindyl stuff that are in kitchen cabinets and made a fleece bed..well the other yorkies took that over so upstairs is funny shaped its cape cod and its 2 rooms ours is big then it has a wide hallway like area with a big closet and then my sons room...in the hallway area is my youngest sons crib and in between the crib and our bed is my iris kennel (i love this thing) so i put a blanket down and covered it with pee pads and i noticed last night she was in there moving things and licking alot..i checked her temp it was 99.3 (but im wondering if that theremometer is off) and this morning she slept in she didnt follow me right away down stairs...but 98% of the time she is at my feet!! (which i love)

i made her scambled eggs a few times but she wont eat them so last night i got some canned food and split it with the three and later that night when the others were put up i noticed her licking the plate so i fixed her another 1/2 a can and she ate it up..this past weekend my husband smoked a "pigs butt?" anyways she ate that up! but she usually wont eat table food and some times she looks at me so sad..hormones i guess and others she will start to play a little..i noticed some panting off an on this week too...lamaza practice??..LOL

sorry i know this was a little all over the place..tells ya how my brain fuctions..LOL
