When we were crate training we used the wire crates at home. I liked them and if your dog is actually having accidents they are super easy to clean. Now we just have one gigantic travel crate that they share and they like it so much I leave it up in the house with fluffy pillows on the bottom and they sleep in it most of the day. They are completely trained though and we only use that to keep them contained if we leave them at my mom's or something. They don't seem to mind that it has the screen rather than the wire, in fact I think they like that it's dark in there. I wouldn't recommend it if your dog is going to have accidents in it though.

The wire ones are NOT easy to collapse. They do collapse down, but I would not want to do it every day. The "travel" crates honestly aren't that much easier - I have to have my husband do it because you have to be really strong to do it (It still has a metal frame under the fabric and it's very sturdy - it was really expensive!). I would recommend getting 2 crates.
