These 3 elderly sisters were so lovely....all they wanted to do was feed me and my brother and give us homemade grappa. It was absolutely charming, they even had the cow with the huge bell around it's neck....everything they had was made by hand. We stayed in a house that my great great great grandfather was born in or something crazy like that. I loved it and will never forget it.

What a beautiful memory! Thanks for sharing that!

Who is the most successful person personally known to you?...and what do they do?
I've been thinking and thinking about this one...even looked up the word success in the dictionary! I think success means different things to different people at different times in their lives. I have a huge family and everyone is very successful (career-wise etc.) but to me, right now success means happiness, no matter what may come your way and how you perceive life's ups and downs. It's about attitude...having the right attitude. That being said, I would have to say my niece, who ever so wisely comforted me recently by saying that what I was experiencing was just a "bump in the road"....I love that attitude! If I can attain that....then I will be successful!
