Thanks so much for all the suggestions. I will start trying new strategies with treats today when "Winston" is sleepy and tired. He is just a little live wire when he is awake. This is my first Yorkie. I had a Llaso Apso for 18 yrs and he just loved to be brushed. I had to put him down 7 years ago and it has taken me this long to want to get that attached again. Winston is completely different, but I have already become so attached to him. He has really won over my heart.
