I'm so glad that he is home and doing better. I suspect his behavior is a reaction to what happened, and may in part be due to side effects from the pain meds. He is probably feeling vulnerable right now. This is just a guess but it makes sense. I would carry on as usual and try not to reinforce this new behavior.
