Yes, we do have that problem. However, we don't have a fenced yard, and we just send Sophie out the back door (slider onto the deck and to grass beyond) with an extension leash. If it is raining, we have to walk her out, but since she is on a leash, she doesn't have much choice. Sometimes she just goes around the corner and under the eaves.
She will potty this way, but we often have a problem with the poop issue since she needs time to do the sniffing and finding a place thing.
