Unfortunately until I saw on the news here in LA about three months ago, I didn't know my two yorkies was from a puppy mill. I was so devestated because I thought i had done my research on them. The worse part is, I recommended so many people to her too. My husband made me feel better by saying that at least we can look at it this way, we saved them
As for my new baby, a maltese, she came straight from a show breeder. I can not say enough nice things about him. Its hard when I look at my little yorkie boy, it hurts me to know I contributed to the demise of his parents.
