you have 12 months to do the test if it's in your contract for one year against hereditary disease ....liver shunt would be considered hereditary...

Thanks Kimberly, I am really worried about the fasting part. But, from all the research I've done, I have only found one article that said it might be hereditery. All but the one article says it is a congential birth defect from when they were being formed in the mommy, but sometimes it doesn't show signs until later tho it was there at birth. Anyway, I am totally in love with him already and don't think I would give him back even if he had it. I would just love him what time I had with him.
