I had great luck with a crate. Its a small space so they dont have a place to go potty while in there. (Some will, but most wont potty in the crate.) As far as a play pen, just remember, at some point (if not covered) your baby will learn to jump out. And, boy, yorkies can jump! My baby was jumping on and off our bed and couch by 16 weeks!
