When it's a grade 3 then yes, it should be corrected. My Zada had both her knees operated on at the same time. They were both grade 3. The cost for both was $1,600. & a bit over. The recovery time is what's going to take up most of your time. For 6 to 8 weeks they are not allowed running and jumping. They have to be either crated or put in an expen with bedding of course. Zada stayed in the expen for two solid weeks, then I would take her out back on a leash to let her walk around for about 5 minutes three times a day for a week, then 10 minutes three times a day for a couple of weeks. Recover is slow but VERY important not to rush things. Get a Vet. that has done MANY of these types of surgeries. Good luck to you and your baby.
