unfortunately, it can. tapeworm is passed through flees and their eggs.. and although neither one of the girls has any visible sign of flees, they told me that it can be passed through grass with a flee on it.. and oh boy do they love eating grass.. Kayah will actually bite someone if they try to take away a fresh chunk of cut grass from her.
We can get it by petting them, not washing our hands afterwards, then touching our mouths... One of the eggs might be on their coat and can transfer toour hands.. and we may not be able to see it.. and that's how we get it.
So needless to say, Kayah WILL NOT be going outside after the grass is cut ever again! ewwww!
I didn't get to sleep till 4am, and I had to be up at 7.. so I'm a little exhausted.. but I'll manage.. Once I fell asleep, I kept having dreams about bugs.. ahhhh! I'm so scared of insects, you wouldn't believe!
And even now, I feel like I have bugs crawling all over me
