Breeders in california for the most part are a ripoff.
Every breeder i found wanted over 1200$ for akc registered yorkies. Im not saying they are not quality but the costs were rediculous. I got both my yorkies from breeders in arkansas shipped by commercial airliner for 700 a peice total.
Im not saying you wont be able to find a reputable breeder for a good price in socal but im just saying good luck. if you pay more than 500 local you paid too much.
