Try shaving a little more off of the ears. Meeko's ears were done for the longest time and then I trimmed them and they popped rite up. I never thought they'd go up because he's ears are kinda big for his head. Maybe just a little more will do the trick. I don't think 8 months is too old for them to stand. Good luck
