I'd like some advice on this too!!! Meeko is the same way! He's extremely friendly and is barking because he's excited and wants to go over to play. When we go to a pet store he trys to run so fast, and the floors are soo slipperly, that he just runs in place from slipping. It can be very embarrassing. When we're out on walks he barks when he sees people or dogs. I've been starting to get him to sit and if I can get him to, he usually stops barking. If I see him about to move or his ears perk up like he's getting excited again I just make a loud uh noise and get his attention again. But, this is when we're outisde in the neighborhood and someone passes for a minute or 2. He's too hard to control in a store full of dogs and people. It's upsetting too, because I know how much he loves going out. Maybe I'll try going out this weekend for an hour and training him.
