I am hoping to find him a friend with the same activity rate as my Yorkie to alleviate the problem. I understand your situation. I experience it every time I walk my dogs too. Zoey is a gal that can find her own things to do. So if and when Toby doesn't want to play wtih her she will go look for the cat or go and nip my son to let him know she wants to play.
