Luvy had surgery for luxating patella on Tuesday. It is not an easy surgery on them. I would only consider a Dr. that has Ortho training that has done MANY of these type surgeries. It is a major invasive surgery. With extensive recovery - 8 to 10 plus weeks. Luvy did not have x rays. Once her Surgeon examined her leg he knew she was at a stage 4. We always knew Luvy was going to need the surgery. Her Dr. explained to us if you wait to long they run the chance of permanent damage. Sometimes they can not tell the level until they get in. I would atleast go to a Surgeon for a consultation.
