mu husband had took the day off so we dropped my daughetr off at school and went to the supermarket, when we got home I flipped the TV on and there it was both Twin Towers in smoke
when it finally dawned on me what they were saying (terrorist) I grabbed my bag and Hubby and I went to go pick up my daughter who was 6 at the time. The amount of parents there was unbelievable such craziness. while Im waiting for them to bring her down I kept trying to call my sister and cousin who work in the city, walking distance to WTC. Im not sure if you guys remember but cellphones were not working. It took like 30 minutes to get my daughter and thank god my sis and cuz were ok, they had to walk the bridge home(queens) it took them almost 4 hours to walk home. I am so thankful that my family was not hurt. My prayers go out to all who lost loved ones.
