My dog did the exact same thing when I moved. He was always sleeping on the bed with me and when I moved, he would sleep under the dresser I had. After awhile though, about 6 months or so, he sleeps on the bed with me. Now what he'll do is spend the latter part of the night under the dresser and then will spend the rest of the night with me. It works out great for us. I've learned to expect it. And on some really awesome nights he sleeps with me the whole time.
