Yup - That's Normal
When mine were eating kibble, they would take one little piece and run to the other end of the house where there is a throw rug and they "needed" to be on the rug to eat that 1 piece of kibble. Then they would run back to the kitchen to get 1 more piece to run back to the rug....so funny
