I have a stroller that is really nice (Jeep Rubicon), but I never ever use it. It just sits in my garage collecting dust.
I think it would be helpful for longer events like the one you are talking about rather than a carrier which will tire your shoulder probably, but mine always wanted out of the stroller and would fuss to walk so it wasn't worth it
