I had just taken Lauryn to school and was on my way to work when on the radio is said a plane struck the towers. I got to work, turned on the tv and watched all the news coverage. I was actually watching the coverage as the 2nd plane hit. I remember thinking...omg we are under attack. I was numb and in total shock. Heart broken!! After the 3rd plane hit, I told myself if one more plane hits somewhere, I was going to pick Lauryn up from school and bring her home. I too watched the news coverage for weeks and weeks afterwards. I remember the first sunday at church after it happened everyone was numb and sad. We prayed and prayed, held our families tight, thought alot about what really matters.

My heart goes out to all the families who lost there loved ones, all the kids that came home that day to no parents, wives who lost there husbands, husbands who lost there wives, etc. I still can't imagine what that day was like being there in the mist of it all. It was painful enough watching from home. Still to this day, when 911 rolls around I wonder will something else happen today, Have we let our guards down, and what is next.

This world is a sad sad place and keeps getting worse.
