I read this thread last night and thought, wow the OP and folks with spidey pets sound so brave and respectful of nature. BUT I woke up twice with nightmares of your spider and 10,000 of his friends crawling all over me!!
Kudos to you all who have respect for these guys. In my phobic defense, I was raised in a house where my DAD (*snicker*) would go around vacuuming bugs with a loooong nose vacuum.
